Betty Johnson has received the University Staff Employee Appreciation Award for May at University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Johnson, of Wheeler, works in Custodial Services at Heritage Hall. She has been employed at UW-Stout for more than 10 years.
Johnson’s nomination stated: “Betty is thoughtful and caring, quick to respond to requests and is a ray of sunshine. I appreciate the clear sidewalks and clean entrances, especially during this winter. Betty always goes above and beyond in her performance and never complains. Another thing I value about Betty is that she supports student learning, her positive attitude and spirit. Betty is an asset to the Stout community and deserving of this recognition.”
Chancellor Bob Meyer presents each winner with a certificate of recognition, a UW-Stout travel mug and a UW-Stout blanket.
Students, faculty and staff may nominate a university staff member who demonstrates a commitment to excellence and the university community.
The award, in its 13th year, was established by the Chancellor’s Office and is co-sponsored by the University Staff Senate.
