A new vice chancellor for Enrollment and Strategic Initiatives has been named at UW-Stout.
The appointment of Ediz Kaykayoglu was announced Monday, April 17, by Chancellor Katherine Frank.
Kaykayoglu will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for all aspects of university enrollment management.
He currently is dean of Extended and Global Education at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Wash. He has significant experience in distance/online learning, international education and strategic enrollment management.
“Dr. Kaykayoglu’s expertise and educational background are well suited to the role of vice chancellor of Enrollment and Strategic Initiatives at Stout,” Chancellor Katherine Frank said.
“His work with a variety of program types, learning modalities and student stakeholder groups will be invaluable as we continue to extend our reach to the broad range of students interested in the distinct learning experience and exceptional career options provided by a polytechnic education.”
Frank said Kaykayoglu has demonstrated a strong commitment to continuous improvement, which will be crucial for the advancement of UW-Stout’s FOCUS2030 goals and the implementation of a comprehensive strategic enrollment management plan.
Kaykayoglu has a Ph.D. in educational psychology and a M.S. of technology, both from Kent State University, and a B.S. of computer engineering from Bahcesehir University in Istanbul, Turkey.
“I am so happy to join the University of Wisconsin-Stout. It will be my great privilege and pleasure to serve the university. I am excited about the opportunity to collaborate with the students, faculty, staff and the UW-Stout community in my new role," he said.
Kaykayoglu will begin work on Tuesday, Aug. 1, at UW-Stout.
