The Disability Services minor gives you the knowledge and skills to work with individuals with chronic illnesses and disability and individuals dealing with a variety of social needs and problems.

UW-Stout Rehabilitation students

In your hands-on practicum experience, you will learn how to work effectively with individuals as they adjust to life with a disability and will deliver services to assist individuals in mitigating the barriers in their life, and as they seek employment and integration into the community.

If you are in one of our various human service majors, such as Applied Social Science, Human Development and Family Studies, Psychology, or Sociology, you may find the Disability Services minor beneficial to your future career.
