Incoming Student Scholarships

Merit-Based Scholarships | $1,000 - $2,000

Each year, UW-Stout awards over 400 merit-based scholarships to incoming students in recognition of academic excellence. All new first-year students admitted to UW-Stout are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships, but please note that selection is not guaranteed.

Merit scholarship consideration is available to students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. To be fully considered, students must be admitted to the university by December 1. A second round of awards may be offered by April 1, depending on the availability of funds.
