Eligibility & Order of Selection Unit
Nationwide, State Vocational Rehabilitation programs and staff have up to 60 days to determine an individual's eligibility for DVR services. In 2016, a pilot project on eligibility determination was expanded statewide to process the over 10,000 applications received annually. SVRI has piloted this project on behalf of the federal-state Vocational Rehabilitation program in Wisconsin. The model encompasses a centralized administrative process for determining eligibility, based on integrating rapid engagement strategies and administrative efficiencies for processing Vocational Rehabilitation program applications.
