Prior to August 3, the Advisement Center staff is working remotely. If you are a first-year student, please contact your first-year advisor directly via e-mail. All other questions can be directed to one of the e-mail accounts below:
Starting August 3, the Advisement Center will be open with reduced staff Monday-Friday, 8 AM-4:30 PM.
What to expect when you arrive:
- Masks must be worn in Bowman Hall going to and from the Advisement Center
- Masks will be worn by both students and staff during appointments
- Social distancing will be enforced
- The Advisement Center will be regularly cleaned and sanitized.
Complete the following steps:
Step 1) Check your UW-Stout e-mail login and password
Step 2) Check your enrollment appointment (date you can enroll in classes)
Step 3) Contact your advisor for course advisement
Your advisor's name can be found on your Access Stout Student Center page. In the Advisor box on the right hand side of the Student Center page click "details".
Use the Directory on the UW-Stout homepage or the Program Director Directory to look up contact information for your advisor or program director (i.e. office locations, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses).
If no advisor is listed or you have changed your major, contact the Advisement Center at email@example.com.
Your advisor may recommend that you take the University of Wisconsin Placement Tests in English and/or Mathematics. Please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule placement tests.

Step 5) Enroll in classes
Once you have received course recommendations from your Program Director or academic advisor, completed the student account contract, and the eRefund setup you are ready to enroll in courses.
